A Comparative Study on Multimodal Construction of Ecological Themes in Planet Earth and Forest China
Abstract
growth sequences from the documentaries Planet Earth and Forest China, exploring thematic construction approaches in Chinese and inter
national forest ecological documentaries. The research reveals significant differences in modal synergy logic between the two works: Forest
China adopts an ecological temporal sequence approach, employing language dominated by material processes, vertical visual architecture,
and spatial acoustic symbols to depict growth patterns and serendipitous opportunities;Planet Earth focuses on strategic implementation, utilizing
relationship-material complementary language, detailed visual elements, and environment-adaptive acoustic components to highlight proactive
growth strategies and environmental interactions. Both works achieve ecological thematic construction through coordinated modal approaches.
