after release to explore its iconic value as a turning point in pop music. Before conducting an in-depth analysis of the structure and vocal
style of Billie Jean, this paper first systematically reviews the historical context in which the song was created and Michael Jackson's posi
tion in music history. By reconstructing the context of the song's emergence and dissemination, this study aims to provide a comprehensive
background for subsequent stylistic analysis and performance practice, while also seeking to reveal important implications for contemporary
vocalists from the perspective of professional pop singing.
