Study on the Socio-Economic Driving Mechanism of Freshippo Store Spatial Layout from the Perspective of Central Place Theory Reconstruction
Abstract
driving logic behind the spatial layout of Freshippo stores. Against the backdrop of new retail formats reconstructing consumption scenarios,
the applicable boundaries of the traditional central place theory are facing challenges. By defining the core research area, integrating enterprise
operation data, urban statistical data, and geospatial data, and applying methods such as kernel density estimation and spatial econometric
models, this paper systematically analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of Freshippo stores, interprets their adaptability to the reconstructed central place theory, and examines the driving effects of socio-economic factors. The study finds that Freshippo stores present an
unbalanced distribution pattern of "core agglomeration - edge diffusion". Their layout logic breaks through the hierarchical nesting model of
traditional central places and shifts to a "node network integrating online and offline" form. Digital consumption penetration rate, community
commercial maturity, transportation accessibility, and human capital level constitute the core driving factors, and the impact intensity of different factors shows regional heterogeneity. This study provides theoretical support and practical reference for optimizing the spatial layout of
new retail enterprises.
