Modern Expression of Chinese Painting under the Background of China-Chic Culture

Wenting Li, Qianyi Zhao

Abstract

The comprehensive revival of China-Chic has ushered in the powerful return of the vast traditional Chinese culture in the contemporary context. Chinese painting art, rooted in traditional aesthetic ideas, has also embraced new opportunities for transformation and
expression. Today's artistic innovation in Chinese painting represents a deeper national core, an artistic renovation that is closer to the current
aesthetic needs and living conditions of the people. This article starts from the aesthetic characteristics of China-Chic culture, analyzes the
modern expression methods of Chinese painting in terms of brush and ink language, image symbols, subject matter, and scene depiction, and
breaks down the barriers between traditional Chinese painting and contemporary life to elaborate on how traditional art forms meet the aesthetic requirements of the new era and integrate into the current mass lifestyle. It brings some practical and feasible thinking methods for the
modern inheritance and development of Chinese painting.
