Transmission and Development of Danzhou's Jiadan Paper (Intangible Cultural Heritage) from the Perspective of Cultural-Tourism Integration in Hainan Free Trade Port

Abstract

Hainan FTP construction has promoted cultural-tourism integration to reach a new developmental stage. ICH is an important cultural element in cultural-tourism integration, and it is facing new opportunities and challenges in terms of transmission and development. As a
representative ICH project of Danzhou, Jiadan Paper embodies the region's profound historical legacy and traditional artisanal wisdom. It also
constitutes a significant component of cultural tourism resources in local development. This study conducts a study on the transmission of Jiadan Paper under the background of cultural-tourism integration in Hainan FTP. It explores the challenges during its transmission process and
their solutions, and elaborates them through typical case studies, aiming to provide reference for the effective transmission and development
of the Jiadan Paper, and enable it to get a new life in the cultural-tourism integration, thereby promoting the high-quality development of the
tourism industry in Danzhou and providing actionable insights for safeguarding comparable ICH in other regions of the Hainan FTP.
