Research on Digital Innovation Communication of Huaxian Shadow Play in New Media Environment

Abstract

Huaxian Shadow Play is a traditional folk treasure rooted in Weinan, Shaanxi Province. It carries hundreds of years of traditional
opera culture and handicraft skills in Guanzhong area, but now it faces the inheritance dilemma of the death of old artists and the loss of
young audiences. The traditional mode of communication of "stage performance+mentoring and oral communication" is difficult to reach
the new generation groups due to geographical and time constraints. The popularity of new media tools, such as Tik Tok, WeChat and live
broadcast, has opened up a path to break this ancient art. Based on the investigation of local shadow play clubs and intangible cultural heritage
protection centers in Huazhou, this paper combs the existing practice of digital communication of shadow play in Huaxian County, points out
some practical problems such as content homogenization, unprofessional operation and weak industrial connection, and puts forward practical
innovative digital communication schemes from four aspects: deep content cultivation, team building, industrial realization and cross-border
integration, so as to help Huaxian Shadow Play realize live transmission in the new media era.
