Research on the Application of Blended Situational Teaching in Cultivating Clinical Thinking Abilities among Nursing Undergraduates

Can Wu, Linna Li, Kangmei Wang

Abstract

Clinical thinking ability is a fundamental professional quality for nursing college students that can be applied to daily work and
precise nursing care to improve the quality of nursing decisions and clinical service results. The traditional teaching of nursing majors has
problems such as a lack of connection with real life, scattered thought training and insufficient clinical adaptability; it cannot meet the requirements for talent cultivation in modern clinical nursing. Blended situation teaching can make better use of the advantages of online digital
resources and offline practical training to address the deficiencies of the old teaching model through the reconstruction of clinical scenes and
immersive thinking training. Based on the characteristics of nursing teaching and the requirements for cultivating thinking abilities, this paper
will elaborate on the application logic and implementation path of this teaching model, analyze existing practical problems, put forward optimisation suggestions, and thus provide theoretical and practical support for strengthening the nursing practice teaching system and improving
students' clinical thinking abilities.
