Pathways for Digitally and Intelligently Empowering Ideological and Political Education in Vocational College English -- A Practice-Based Exploration of Telling China's Stories under the Guidance of the "Three Spirits"
Abstract
survey (N = 1, 076; 29 items) preceded a non-equivalent posttest quasi-experiment. After three duplicates were removed from 3, 959
records, 3, 740 assignments in eight matched activities were compared. Cronbach's α was.923. Students wanted bilingual materials, AI
speaking, and virtual scenarios, while narration confidence lagged behind cultural identification. After activity control and class clustering, the experimental group scored 17.78 points higher (95% CI [11.95, 23.62], p <.001); the pooled difference was 17.66 and Hedges' g
was 1.16. Gains appeared in fill-ins, not reading or completion. The five-stage pathway links spiritual content, China stories, English tasks,
digital support, and assessment. Evidence supports accurate retrieval and production, not equivalent gains in extended narration or value
internalization.
