Comprehensive Solutions to the Enrollment Dilemmas of Master of Vocational and Technical Education
Abstract
the Master of Vocational and Technical Education (MVTE) has evolved into a critical channel for nurturing high-caliber professionals serving vocational school operation, educational administration and vocational education research. However, MVTE programs currently face
prevalent enrollment dilemmas, including insufficient first-choice applicants, unreasonable student source structure, and low professional
recognition. These issues impair the fundamental quality of talent cultivation and hinder the long-term development of the discipline. Taking
MVTE enrollment as the research object, this paper adopts literature review, comparative analysis and practical summary to summarize the
major enrollment dilemmas and analyze their causes. Drawing on domestic and international experience in vocational education postgraduate
enrollment, this study proposes a holistic solution integrating cognition guidance, student source expansion and policy support. The research
findings provide a reference for stabilizing enrollment quantity, optimizing student structure, and promoting the standardized development of
MVTE programs.
