Abstract

Common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism, and its deep foundation exists in the distribution theory of Marxism.
Marx and Engels overcame the limitations of utopian socialism in designing a fair scheme from the perspective of abstract justice, and scientifically discussed the distribution principle of the two stages of communist society in works such as critique of the Gotha program, it reveals
the historical law that the distribution relationship is determined by the ownership of the means of production and the mode of production, and
that common prosperity is based on the high development of productive forces and the all-round development of human beings. To accurately
grasp the scientific connotation of common prosperity, we should consolidate the material foundation in high-quality development, build a coordinated system of initial distribution, redistribution and third distribution, and work step by step and for a long time.
