Research on the Reconstruction and Implementation of Project-Based Curriculum Content for "Fundamentals of Industrial Design Engineering" Oriented towards Professional Competence

Guojun Zhang

Abstract

"Fundamentals of Industrial Design Engineering" is an important course that connects industrial design knowledge with engineering practice. In response to the problems such as scattered knowledge points, insufficient content connection, and weak project carrying capacity in traditional chapter-based teaching, this article, oriented towards vocational ability cultivation, reorganizes teaching contents
such as materials, structure, and process, and constructs a three-level project system of basic cognition, application analysis, and comprehensive design. The teaching implementation is carried out in an order from basic tasks to comprehensive tasks, and from itemized training
to overall design. The classroom is organized through task introduction, knowledge explanation, process guidance, and outcome exchange,
and evaluation is embedded in the initiation, advancement, and presentation of tasks, forming an implementation framework that interconnects course content, project tasks, teaching activities, and process evaluation, providing a reference for the reform of industrial design
engineering courses.
