Embodied Logic and Educational Value: How Qinghai Lamian Restaurants Forge the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation
Abstract
The cultivation of a sense of community is essentially a process of identity construction, which can only be generated through the
practical interaction between the subject and the objective world. Qinghai Lamian restaurants, scattered across more than 330 cities nationwide, use a bowl of soup and a multi-ethnic cooperative counter as media to translate the "community for the Chinese nation" into perceivable
embodied experiences. Drawing on embodied cognition and empathy theories, this paper proposes an identity-generation chain of "embodied
perception – empathy embedding – institutional anchoring, " and explores its implications for the everyday-life teaching of the "Great Ideological and Political Course."
