Research on Speculative Teaching of College English Textbooks in the New Era -- A Case Study of New Era College Basic English

Abstract


With the deepening implementation of the reform policy of higher education teaching mode in China, university teaching has fully
entered a new era. In the context of the new era, university English teaching should not only cultivate students language ability, but also
strengthen the cultivation of their critical thinking ability. This article first outlines the necessity of integrating critical thinking into college
English teaching, and finally takes New Era College Basic English as an example to study the effective path of critical thinking in college
English textbooks in the new era, hoping to help students improve their critical thinking ability and English language ability together.
