An Exploration of the Relationship Between English Language and Social Identity from an Everyday Life Perspective

Abstract


This research discusses the relationship between language and identity. In sociolinguistics, the term identity refers to the way in
which speakers convey themselves via language. This highlights the dynamic relationship that exists between language and identity.As a result, the link between language and identity will be the primary topic of this article, with a special emphasis placed on Age Gender Ethnicity Class Nationality occupation these six dimensions from the point of view of their application in everyday life. In addition, we
will talk about the problem of language alteration in the setting of many identities at the conclusion of the article.
