A Preliminary Analysis of Students Mental Health Education from the Perspective of Higher Education
Abstract
and academic success. With the increasing complexity and competitiveness of the educational environment, students face numerous stressors
that can potentially impact their mental health adversely. The new era brings unique challenges such as the digital divide, social isolation due
to excessive reliance on virtual communication, and the pressure to conform to academic and social norms. This paper explores how these factors interact and contribute to mental health issues among students. Furthermore, it examines the existing mental health education programs in
higher education institutions, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses. Various educational approaches and interventions are discussed, including
psychological counseling services, stress management workshops, and the integration of mental health education into the curriculum. The role of
faculty and staff in identifying and addressing mental health concerns is also emphasized. Additionally, the importance of creating a supportive
campus environment that promotes mental health awareness and reduces stigma is explored. By comprehensively analyzing these aspects, this
paper aims to provide valuable insights and practical suggestions for enhancing students mental health education in higher education settings.
