Ethical Risks and Governance Approaches of Artificial Intelligence in Education

Abstract


In the age of technological progress, the education field has been deeply transformed by the extensive application of artificial intelligence (AI). This paper focuses on educational ethics. AI has brought positive impacts such as improving teaching efficiency by handling administrative tasks, offering personalized learning experiences based on data analysis, and expanding educational access with online platforms.
However, significant ethical risks exist. There are concerns about data privacy and security from data collection. Biased algorithms can cause
discrimination. Excessive use of AI may reduce human interaction, affecting students well-being. And educators may face unemployment.
This paper elaborates on these changes and related ethics issues, and presents solutions to ensure AIs beneficial use in education while minimizing negative effects.
