An Exploration of BOPPPS Model in Interactive Teaching in International Undergraduate Business English

Lu Zhang, Yan Lin

Abstract

The BOPPPS teaching model emphasizes student-centered and teacher-guided teaching, which aligns with the interactive teaching
model in Business English classrooms. This article aims to analyze the current situation and problems in international undergraduate Business
English, such as lack of classroom interaction, low enthusiasm, and low autonomy in learning. Based on the BOPPPS model, a new exploration of interactive teaching in international undergraduate Business English is proposed, which includes enriching warm-up before class,
clarifying teaching objectives, increasing classroom interaction, and timely summarization and reflection to continuously improve student participation, teacher-student interaction, and student-student interaction.
