With the rapid progress of science and technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology are penetrating into all corners of the society at an unprecedented speed, which is particularly significant in the field of education. In higher vocational
education, the interior design program, as a key link connecting theory and practice and cultivating students professional skills and innovation ability, is undergoing unprecedented changes. This study focuses on the application and exploration of the deep integration of artificial
intelligence and virtual reality technology in the development of higher vocational interior design professional curriculum. Through in-depth
analysis of how these two technologies complement each other and work together in the teaching process, and revealing their potential value
for improving teaching quality, enhancing students practical ability and stimulating innovative thinking, we also explore the implementation
strategy of the fusion technology, the construction of teaching resources, and the specific impact on students learning effectiveness.
