The Importance and Training Strategy of Intercultural Communication in Navigation English Teaching: A Research based on International Navigation Environment

Abstract


With the rapid development of globalization today, the complexity and diversity of the international navigation environment make
the cross-cultural communication ability become particularly important in the navigation English teaching. By analyzing the importance of
intercultural communication in the navigation field, this paper discusses how to effectively cultivate students intercultural communication
ability in navigation English teaching. Research shows that enhancing cross-cultural communication skills can not only improve the professional quality of seafarers, but also promote international cooperation and communication, and ensure the safety and efficiency of navigation
operations. By integrating cross-cultural communication content, simulating cross-cultural scenes, inviting experts to give lectures, carrying
out international communication projects, and strengthening cultural sensitivity training, it can lay a solid foundation for students in their future navigation work.
