Abstract

As a significant higher education project, the reform of new liberal arts education is progressively emerging as a major driver of
high-quality advancement in Chinas higher education system. By implementing the Six Excellence and One Pioneer program version

The new liberal arts education reform in China currently demonstrates a positive trend of national leadership and local implementation ,
but there are drawbacks, including the disconnect between professional and moral education, the backward talent cultivation system, and the
teaching content and social practice. Thus, this paper explores the mechanism through which Chinas new liberal arts education reform facilitates the development of high-quality higher education, dissects the countrys new liberal arts revolution at the top and the grassroots level,
explains the accomplishments and purposes of the reform, and makes recommendations for improving the curriculum, refining the system for
cultivating talent, bolstering moral education, and expanding higher education exchanges internationally
