Integrating AI into Mobile Language Learning: Bridging Formal and Informal Learning through Blended Approaches

Abstract


This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into mobile language learning to bridge the gap between formal
classroom instruction and informal learning. By leveraging AI-driven tools within blended learning models, the paper explores how personalized adaptive content, real-time feedback, and gamified experiences enhance learner autonomy and engagement. The findings demonstrate
that AI applications can effectively support both structured classroom teaching and independent learning, thereby creating a more holistic
and learner-centered language learning environment. This research highlights the potential of AI to transform blended language education by
facilitating seamless transitions between formal and informal learning contexts, while also addressing challenges related to over-reliance on
technology and alignment with curricular objectives.
