Research on the Professional Development Path and Strategy of College English Teachers

Abstract


English teachers in colleges and universities are an important force in higher education, and their professional level directly affects
the quality of English teaching and the cultivation of students language ability. In the context of globalization and education internationalization, teachers need to have solid subject knowledge, innovative teaching ability and information teaching level. However, at present, college
English teachers are still faced with the problems of unclear path, insufficient resources and high pressure of teaching and research, which
restrict the professional growth of teachers and the development of higher English education.
??Teacher professional development is a key way to improve the quality of education, which covers not only the improvement of subject
knowledge and teaching ability, but also the renewal of educational concepts and the enhancement of practical ability. By analyzing the current situation and problems of the professional development of English teachers in universities, combining theory and practice, this study explores effective development paths and strategies, in order to provide reference for the growth of teachers and contribute theoretical support to
the reform and quality improvement of English education in universities.
