Research on the Development History and Characteristics of Journalism Education in the Republic of China

Abstract


The Republic of China was an important period of social change in China, in which profound changes occurred in politics, economy, culture, and other aspects. During this period, journalism, as an important force for social change, developed rapidly. The increase in news
media and demand for news has provided vast space and opportunities for the development of journalism education. In the Republic of China,
the education system underwent profound reforms, and higher education developed rapidly. In this context, journalism education had gradually grown up and became an important part of higher education. Colleges and universities set up departments of journalism one after another
to train professional journalism talents to meet the needs of social development.
