Research on the Docking Strategy between College English Education and Job Market Demand
Abstract
With the continuous advancement of globalization, English has become an indispensable tool of communication in modern society.
As an important way to cultivate students language ability, English education in universities pays more and more attention to the demand of
job market. By analyzing the current situation of English education in universities and the demand for English talents in the job market, we reveal the disconnect between the two and propose a series of docking strategies. Firstly, the gap between the college English curriculum and the
job market demand is studied, and the specific requirements of enterprises on English ability are analyzed. Secondly, in view of the problems
existing in English education in colleges and universities, the docking strategies such as optimizing curriculum setting, reforming teaching
methods and strengthening school-enterprise cooperation are put forward, so as to promote the effective connection between college English
education and the demand of the job market. Finally, this paper summarizes the research results and puts forward policy suggestions on how
to improve the employment orientation of English education, aiming to provide reference for the improvement of college English education
and the innovation of talent training mode.
