A Study on Traditional Chinese Culture Education in Universities for Fostering Virtue

Abstract


The concept of fostering virtue is a core principle of Chinas education in the new era. It emphasizes that education should go beyond imparting knowledge and skills, focusing equally on fostering students moral character and sense of social responsibility. Integrating
this principle into the teaching of traditional Chinese culture not only enriches the curriculum but also better aligns with the fundamental purpose of educationto nurture well-rounded individuals who are intellectually, morally, physically, and aesthetically developed and prepared
to contribute to socialist development. This study explores strategies for enhancing the quality and effectiveness of traditional Chinese culture
education in universities under the guidance of this principle. By proposing innovative educational models and methods, it aims to provide
both theoretical insights and practical guidance for the innovative development of traditional Chinese culture education in higher education
institutions.
