Xinyi Yang

Abstract

In the wave of globalization, TikTok has faced policy restrictions in the United States, leading to a large number of American users
migrating to rednote. This phenomenon provides a unique sample for the research of cross-cultural social platforms. From the perspective of
business English, this study uses multi-dimensional and systematic research methods to analyze the language and cultural adaptation strategies adopted by users behind the influx of TikTok refugees into rednote. The research finds that migrating users face many difficulties in the
process of adaptation, in order to overcome these obstacles, migrating users use multi-language tools to achieve basic language conversion
and actively apply idiomatic expressions to integrate into the language ecosystem of rednote. This study aims to reveal the internal mechanism
of the communication and integration of users on cross-cultural social platform, and bolster the accuracy and efficacy of English translation in
cross-cultural contexts to facilitating seamless interaction among diverse cultures.
