Deep Participation for Deep Learning: Relationships, Dilemmas and Teaching Strategies

Ping Wu

Abstract

Deep learning cannot be realized in teaching practice without students participation.By analyzing the influence of students participation on the depth of learning, it is concluded that in order to achieve the purpose of adeep learning, students need to participate deeply
in their learning, and deep participation plays a decisive role in deep learning, and both of them play a role in the students learning process
together.Looking at the current teaching practice with the criterion of deep participation, we find that there are three dilemmas of student participation: collaborative observer, detached experiencer, and knowledge rote memorizer. In order to promote deep learning to really happen,
in view of the problems that exist in students participation, this paper puts forward the strategies of contextualized teaching, activity-based
teaching and problem-based teaching from the three dimensions of emotion, action and knowledge.
