The Effect of Problem-based Teaching Method Combined with Clinical Practice Teaching Method in Neonatal Resuscitation Training

Qianya Xu

Abstract

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of the combined application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Clinical Practice Teaching
method in the clinical teaching of neonatal resuscitation techniques. Methods: 64 patients were included in the training program, and the
clinical teaching study was conducted. 2023.01~2023.09 patients were enrolled in the training program as the control group (32 patients),
who received the traditional indoctrination teaching combined with the situational simulation teaching, and 2023.10~2024.06 patients were
observed as the observation group (32 patients), who received the PBL teaching method combined with the clinical practice teaching. PBL
teaching method combined with clinical practice teaching. We compared the effect of training under different teaching modes. Results: Compared with the control group, the observation groups neonatal resuscitation theory and clinical operation assessment scores were elevated, and
the difference was statistically significant, P < 0.05; compared with the control group, the observation groups clinical comprehensive ability
score was elevated, and the difference was statistically significant, P < 0.05. Conclusion: The joint application of PBL teaching method and
clinical practice teaching method in neonatal resuscitation clinical training has a definite training effect on the theoretical knowledge and clinical operation ability of the trainees, and can positively optimize their comprehensive clinical ability quality.
