A Study of the Impact of Pan-Entertainment Trends on the Values of College Students

Ya Liang

Abstract

Driven by the logic of capital, the trend of pan-entertainment has reshaped the cultural ecology of colleges and universities with
the help of new media technology, which has formed a multi-dimensional impact on the values of college students. This paper combines the
theories of cultural communication and sociology of education to reveal the alienation mechanism of pan-entertainment ideology on college
students values through empirical analysis and theoretical interpretation. It is found that this trend has led to the hollowing out of college students values and beliefs through the dissolution of historical reverence, the weakening of political identity, and the promotion of consumerism. Based on this, it is proposed to build a three-dimensional response system of national governance-college guidance-individual awakening to provide theoretical reference for values education in the new era.
