Abstract


This study investigates the role of psychological need satisfaction in promoting academic engagement among university students
in English writing instruction. The study aims to examine the relationship between psychological need satisfaction and students engagement,
motivation, and writing performance. Findings are expected to provide valuable insights into how fostering psychological needs in the writing
classroom can enhance student engagement, improve writing outcomes, and inform the development of more effective instructional strategies
in higher education.
