From Cisco Packet Tracer to eNSP: The Transformation and Development of LAN Teaching

Abstract


This article focuses on the teaching transition between Cisco Packet Tracer and eNSP in LAN teaching. First, it elaborates on the
importance of both, analyzes that the former is easy to operate and rich in resources but has a gap with enterprise applications, while the latter
highly simulates the real environment but is difficult to operate and has limited resources. Then, it proposes transition strategies, such as integrating teaching content, innovating teaching methods, enhancing teachers capabilities, and optimizing the experimental environment. Verified by the practice of a vocational college, this transition can improve students abilities and is of great significance for improving teaching
quality and cultivating network technology talents.
