A Case Study of Classroom Interaction in Courseware-Based English Language Teaching Courses in China

Honglin Li

Abstract

This qualitative research explores the impact of Chinese EFL (English as a foreign language) teachers use of courseware on classroom interactions and investigates whether the teaching efficacy and interaction of courseware-based ELT (English language teaching) sessions are superior to traditional ELT classes. The implication of this research is one potential direction for further relevant studies that shift the
scope of classroom interaction from Chinese teacher-centred multimedia-based ELT to students.
