A Study on the Cultivation of Cross-cultural Critical Thinking Ability in Higher Vocational English Teaching

Abstract


Cross-cultural critical thinking ability has become a necessary component of cultivating students with comprehensive quality and a
key part of higher education reform. Based on literature study and teaching practices, this paper explores theoretical bases, practical dilemmas,
implementation pathways, and basic support mechanisms of cross-cultural critical thinking ability cultivation in Higher Vocational English
Teaching. It proposes a multi-dimensional cultivation model centered on cross-cultural critical thinking, Curriculum-Based Political and Virtuous Awareness, and Production-Oriented Approach (POA), aiming to provide theoretical references and practical models for higher vocational
English teaching.
