Research on the Digital Transformation of Yangpu Port for International Shipping Hub

Jiafa Liu

Abstract

Yangpu Port, as the core port of Hainan Free Trade Port, is positioned as an international shipping hub facing Southeast Asia and
the two oceans. It faces bottlenecks such as low route density, insufficient transit efficiency, poor data collaboration, and lagging greening.
Digital transformation is the core path to overcome development challenges and enhance global competitiveness. Through the upgrading of
smart ports, the construction of data sharing platforms, the application of AI technology, and green low-carbon practices, Yangpu Port can significantly improve loading and unloading efficiency to 35 natural containers per hour, achieve a water to water conversion ratio of over 35%,
compress cross-border declaration time by 30%, and achieve a clean energy coverage rate of 80%. Promote its transformation from a tonnage
port to a smart hub, strengthen the logistics hub function of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, support the national dual circulation strategy, and provide a digital development paradigm for Asia Pacific shipping competition.
