A Study on the Readiness of Teachers and Administrators for Artificial Intelligence Applications in Chinese Higher Education Institutions

Hao Zhang, Dr. Chng Lay Kee

Abstract

As global digitalization advances, AI has become a key force for change in various industries. In colleges and universities, teachers
and students’ attitudes towards AI, social pressure, and sense of behavioral control significantly affect its acceptance. The study found that
positive attitudes, sense of behavioral control, and social norms jointly shape AI acceptance intentions, and demographic variables such as
gender and role interact with theoretical model variables. It provides an important reference for colleges and universities to promote AI technology and formulate strategies, helping to improve the efficiency of education, teaching, and management.
