Abstract


The qilou buildings in Hainan, as unique symbols of regional culture, carry rich historical, cultural, and artistic values. However,
due to the erosion of time, natural environmental impacts, and urban development, these qilou buildings face varying degrees of damage. This
paper, through research on qilou buildings in Hainan, delves into their architectural characteristics, value, and existing issues, and further explores principles and technical methods for protection and restoration. The aim is to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the
preservation and inheritance of qilou buildings in Hainan, ensuring they continue to exude their unique charm in modern society.
