The Application of 5E Instructional Model in Junior High School English Teaching
Abstract
formalized by Trowbridge & Bybee. The model structures divide into five phases: Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and
Evaluation. Recent studies increasingly explore adapting the 5E model to English reading teaching. These adaptations, often integrated with
other models, aim to develop core competencies, enhance student engagement, and classroom efficiency. The article provides a comprehensive exposition of the development of this model and its application in English teaching.
