Mozhu Jiang, Qianhong Zeng, Yukai Wei, Mei Wang*

Abstract

Marrung Aboriginal Education Plan 2016 - 2026 is Australias preferential policy for the full range of education for indigenous
Koorie people. The policy background of this plan has similarities with the current development status of higher education for ethnic minorities in China, presenting a situation where achievements and predicaments coexist. This plan attaches great importance to the vertical connection and accumulation of achievements in the educational stage, and has established a core framework integrating ethnic cultural support,
leadership team building, and community participation. It is guaranteed by a three-dimensional supervision mechanism and provides reference
and inspiration for improving higher education for ethnic minorities in China in terms of support systems, team building, community collaboration, and management systems.
