Abstract


With the continuous deepening of Chinas education reform, junior high school English textbooks, as an important medium for students to acquire knowledge, have attracted widespread attention in their reform process. This article explores the evolution history of resource
development and teaching strategies in the Peoples Education Press (PEP) junior high school English textbooks in China over the past 40
years, meticulously outlines its reform process, discusses the characteristics of modernization reform, and analyzes the impact and prospects
of the reform.
