The Application of English Learning Activity View in Senior High School English Reading Teaching

Abstract


In the English Curriculum Standards for General Senior High School (2017 Edition Revised in 2020) (hereinafter termed the New
Curriculum Standards), it is stated that English competence should be developed to lay a foundation for real language communication through
a large number of specialized and comprehensive language practice activities[1]. Activity, as a tool to achieve the objectives of teaching, is
highlighted in the senior high school classes. This paper mainly discusses the meaning of the English Learning Activity View, the characteristics of the English Learning Activity View in senior high school English reading class, and the difficulties in implementing the English
Learning Activity View. Furthermore, this paper, based on the lesson design for A successful Failure, explores strategies for addressing these
difficulties[2]. First, teaching activity should be based on teaching objectives. secondly, teaching activities should be connected logically in accordance with the development of students recognition. Additionally, teaching activities should focus on the learning of language knowledge,
discourse knowledge, and pragmatic knowledge.
