Exploring the Application of Spiral Case-Based Teaching in CFD Software Application

Ershuai Yin, Xuemei Chen, Muxing Zhang*

Abstract

To enhance students abilities in modeling, analysis, and software application for complex engineering problems, this study systematically designs a CFD software application based on the spiral case-based teaching method. The course is structured into five progressively
layered teaching modules. The instructional design emphasizes progressive deepening and learning through application, capability stratification, and cyclical knowledge reinforcement. This approach effectively improves students comprehensive competence in simulation and analysis of complex multiphysics coupling problems, as well as practical engineering skills.
