Implementation Strategies of Emotional Education in College English Teaching

Abstract


Emotional education refers to the process of paying attention to and cultivating students psychological emotions during teaching, so as to help students establish positive emotional attitudes to promote a more effective learning. This concept has its roots in humanistic psychology, which emphasises the profound impact of an individuals emotional state on their cognitive development and behavioural
performance. The importance of emotional education is self-evident. In college English teaching. Research has shown that students affective states have a direct impact on their motivation and persistence in learning. For example, their learning outcomes may be significantly
reduced when students feel anxious or frustrated about learning English. Therefore, emotional education aims to create a safe and supportive learning environment where students can face challenges positively, enhance their sense of self-efficacy, and thereby improve the
effectiveness of English learning.
