Evaluating the Efficacy of Blended Learning in "Nobel Prize in Literature" Course: A Critical Analysis

Yinghong Tang

Abstract

The integration of blended learning methods has become a significant trend in modern education, especially in courses like Nobel
Prize Works Appreciation, which aim to enhance students literary analysis and critical thinking skills. Building on the Outcome-Based Teaching Approach (OBTA), this study examines how blended learning enhances the course through improved flexibility, interaction, and depth of
literary analysis. Through a combination of asynchronous online resources and face-to-face discussions, students develop stronger analytical
abilities and engage more actively with complex texts. Additionally, this paper examines how blended learning fosters critical thinking by encouraging independent analysis, peer discussions, and multimedia-supported learning. Finally, practical suggestions are provided to optimize
the blended learning model for literature courses.
