Junhong Yuan, Xiaolong Ouyang

Abstract

With the deep use of new-generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things
in the shipping field, intelligent shipping has become the main direction for the transformation and upgrade of the global shipping industry.
Against this backdrop, maritime education should not only focus on cultivating technical talents in intelligent water vehicle operation and
intelligent voyage Management, but also shoulder the important mission of inheriting and innovating Maritime culture. As the spiritual foundation of the development of the shipping industry, Maritime culture embodies the pioneering spirit, collaborative consciousness, sense of
responsibility, and ecological ideas, which are key quality to face the complex challenges in the intelligent shipping era. This paper analyzes
the new requirements for maritime education in the era of intelligent shipping, dissects the predicaments faced by the inheritance of Maritime
culture in current maritime education, and then proposes the implementation pathways for the inheritance and innovation of Maritime culture
from four dimensions: the reconstruction of the curriculum system, the innovation of practice carriers, the empowerment of technological
integration, and the construction of collaborative mechanisms. Its aim is to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for cultivating
new types of maritime talents who have both technical capabilities and cultural literacy.
