Research on the Practical Education Pathways of Ideological and Political Education by University Counselors

Abstract

In the new era, college counselors serve as the backbone of ideological and political education for university students. Innovations
in their working methods and educational approaches directly impact the effectiveness of implementing the fundamental task of "fostering
virtue through education." This paper explores how counselors can transcend the limitations of traditional administrative work by establishing
a systematic practical education framework, thereby organically integrating ideological and political education into the entire process of students' academic life, social practice, and value cultivation. The paper first analyzes the theoretical basis and contemporary requirements that
position practical education as a core pathway for ideological and political education. Then, in light of the practical difficulties in the current
work of cultivating talents in colleges and universities, it focuses on elaborating on a collaborative education mechanism led by Counselor, integrating multi-dimensional elements like Party and league building, academic atmosphere guidance, Social practice, network public opinion,
and Crisis intervention. Studies have shown that enhancing the design and guidance of practical components not only effectively boosts the
relevance and engagement of ideological and political education but also stimulates students' initiative and creativity. This approach enables
the deep integration of knowledge transmission, capacity building, and value orientation, providing solid support for cultivating a new generation capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.
