Vocational Education Going Global and International Alignment: Trends, Models and Strategies

Dan Qiu

Abstract

Explores the trends, models, and strategies for the international alignment of vocational education. Against the backdrop of concurrent digitalization and green development, vocational education needs to achieve transnational collaboration through methods such as curriculum export and faculty sharing. The study analyzes three major trends: the globalization of digital skills, the modularization of green skills,
and the dual certification of degrees and skills. It summarizes three overseas expansion models: cooperative education, enterprise-driven
integration of industry and education, and short-term certification programs. The paper also identifies challenges such as cultural differences,
faculty shortages, and policy barriers, and proposes strategies including enhancing faculty internationalization and promoting the adaptation
of international certification to local contexts, providing a path reference for high-quality overseas expansion of vocational education.
