Cultural Inheritance and Integration of Modern Educational Needs in the Chaozhou Music Curriculum System

Shen Xu, MOHD HASSAN BIN ABDULLAH*

Abstract

Chaozhou music, a gem of traditional Chinese culture, is distinguished by its unique tonal system and artistic expression, embodying the profound cultural DNA of the region. Yet under the dual impact of globalization and modernization, the inheritance and development of this ancient art form face severe challenges. As pivotal hubs for regional cultural preservation and innovation, local universities must urgently transcend the constraints of traditional pedagogical models and achieve an organic integration of cultural transmission and educational innovation. Tyler's curriculum model, with its scientific and systematic framework for course development, offers a vital theoretical foundation for restructuring China's regional music education system.
