Xuejuan Gong

Abstract

Due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, machine translation has seen widespread application in the language services industry. Consequently, the "machine translation+post-editing" (MTPE) model has become the mainstream working mode. In
this context, the higher education model has encountered new challenges and opportunities. This paper explores the significance of cultivating
post-editing competence in the digital era, proposes specific strategies to enhance the post-editing skills of English majors in response to the
demands of the language services industry. These strategies include correcting traditional cognition of translation, strengthening the development of relevant knowledge and competencies, and implementing post-editing module teaching. The study aims to offer insights for the development of post-editing teaching systems and talent training in this new era.
