Career Development Bottlenecks and Promotion Mechanism Optimization for Vocational School Counselors
Abstract
student management, ideological education, career guidance, and mental health support. Yet, their career development faces key bottlenecks:
narrow promotion channels, evaluation systems focused on routine tasks over educational outcomes, and inadequate training resources. This
paper proposes optimizing promotion mechanisms by establishing parallel career pathways combining management, research, and technical
expertise; refining evaluation criteria to include student growth, educational innovation, and social service; and strengthening training through
internal and external collaboration. Building diversified and sustainable promotion systems is essential to break these barriers and enhance talent cultivation quality in vocational colleges.
