Pedagogical Innovation in the Curriculum for Landscape Architecture Design from the Perspective of Regional Culture
Abstract
As globalization process accelerates and local cultural identity enhances, regional culture has gradually become an important element that cannot be ignored in landscape architecture design education. Traditional curriculum for landscape architecture design tends to focus
more on professional knowledge and design methods, and often neglect students' understanding and application of regional culture, resulting
in that design works lack cultural connotation and local characteristics. This paper takes regional culture as the starting point, analyzes the
problems in the current curriculum and pedagogy for landscape architecture design, and proposes innovative instructional pathways integrating regional culture, including the optimization of instructional content, the introduction of case-based teaching, the expansion of practical
training, and the interdisciplinary integration. Research shows that organically integrating regional culture into the curriculum for landscape
architecture design not only helps enhance students' cultural confidence and design capabilities, but also contributes to promoting the realization of the educational function and professional value of the curriculum.
